Baghdad - Nouri Al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, emphasized the important role of ambassadors in representing Iraq's government and policy. Speaking at the 2023 Iraqi Ambassadors Forum, Al-Maliki highlighted the responsibility of ambassadors to convey the vision of the Iraqi state, government, and people to the world.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Maliki addressed the ambassadors, stating that they must reflect the policy and will of the Iraqi government, even if their personal views differ from those of the ministry. He noted that the ambassadors' perspectives on the countries they reside in directly inform the actions of the Iraqi government. He also mentioned the previous parliamentary session's challenges in nominating ambassadors and expressed hope for a more efficient and successful selection process moving forward. Al-Maliki affirmed Iraq's unified stance on the issue of Palestine and Gaza.
