Oil Prices Fall Due To The Rise Of The Dollar

Baghdad Oil prices fell today, Monday, continuing the losses they incurred after the US dollar jumped to its highest level in three weeks, and the number of excavators in the United States increased.

Brent crude futures fell 60 cents, or 0.80%, to $74.74 a barrel.

The price of US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 65 cents, or 0.90%, to reach $71.32 a barrel.

The price of oil fell as the dollar approached its highest level in three weeks after rising last Friday, as a result of better-than-expected US retail sales data.

This reinforced expectations that the US Federal Reserve will start reducing asset purchases later this year
