Baghdad The Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, welcomed the success of the international efforts that were made over the past few days and led by the Arab Republic of Egypt to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
According to the official news agency, the Prime Minister expressed his thanks to all countries that responded to the call made by President Mahmoud Abbas during the first days of the aggression to hold an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people and to hold a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly after the Security Council failed to obtain a resolution to stop the aggression.
He praised the words of the representatives of the countries that expressed their rejection of the war crimes committed by Israel against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and its call to find a political solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international legitimacy decisions, especially the efforts made by Egypt to reach an agreement to stop the aggression, which will come into force at 2am Friday”.
The Palestinian Prime Minister affirmed that the government will refer those crimes that were committed against children and women to the International Criminal Court, which had previously opened an investigation into Israeli crimes committed during three wars launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip.
