Baghdad The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee called on citizens to speed up taking the vaccine against the new Corona epidemic, noting that all beds in hospitals are close to reaching their maximum capacity.
Member of the Committee, MP Jawad Al-Moussawi, stated, in a press statement, that “all scientific evidence indicates that the increase in the number of infections in recent days is due to Iraq’s entry into the third wave of the Corona pandemic, due to the new delta variable of Corona virus that affects countries that are relatively late in preparing recipients of vaccines.”
He explained, “this variable will reap twice the number of deaths caused by the variables that preceded it, and it can only be stopped with two doses of vaccine, meaning that you are not safe from infection if you are not vaccinated.”
He added, “there is no protection from this epidemic except by adhering to health prevention instructions and taking the vaccine completely,” noting that “the variable (delta) will not be the last, and the epidemic will not stop suddenly or turn into a (vaccine) strain, as some are rumored.”
Member of the Parliamentary Health Committee confirmed, “the vaccine is the one that will stand in the face of all this death, indicating that without the vaccine, you are (naked) facing the worst variable known to the Centers for Disease Control around the world.”
