Parliamentary Security Committee Stresses The Difficulty Of Controlling Weapons During The Upcoming Elections

Baghdad The Parliamentary Security Committee stressed the difficulty of controlling the uncontrolled weapons during the upcoming elections.

A member of the committee, Deputy Kata Al-Rikabi, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): “The uncontrolled weapons and political money may affect the voter, and it is very difficult for the government to control the weapon due to its widespread and to more than one party.”

He explained, “The armed manifestations and unrestrained parades by some parties in central Baghdad are the best evidence of the government’s inability to control weapons that may be used to influence the voter in selecting candidates.”
