Baghdad The co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Pavel Talabani, affirmed that the unity of the ranks is the guarantor of the constitution and we must change the political process in the Kurdistan region.

Pavel Talabani added during his participation in the Unity and Constitution Conference that was held today, Wednesday, in the city of Erbil, according to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan website: The unity of the ranks is the guarantor of the constitution and we must change the political process in the Kurdistan region, the constitution is very important and needs serious work and study.

He explained: What exists in the Kurdistan region at the moment we are far from each other, but we can get closer to each other, cooperate and work together and reconcile with our people.

He said: There are great challenges facing us. The constitution is the backbone of the country. If we do not unite and do not enact a constitution that protects the rights of the people, the best thing is to legislate it from the ground up.

He explained: The constitution must defend the rights of our people and put an end to the powers of the parties and the military and security authorities, and before us another challenge is the interference of neighboring countries and regional states in the affairs of our country, and our constitution may be inconsistent with the permanent Iraqi constitution, and we must study the future of the excluded areas well.

The co-chair said: If we do not agree and we are not united, our losses will be great. There are many countries that have advanced and achieved their goals only through unity, and unfortunately we were unable to address our internal problems and strive to achieve the ultimate goal, which is Kurdistan and our people.
