Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, today, Monday, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Saheb.

During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed the importance of upgrading academic education, ensuring the protection of the scientific independence of universities, and coping with the challenges imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, while ensuring that the scientific level is not negatively affected by these conditions facing the whole world, pointing to the need to pay attention to the needs of professors and students and to overcome obstacles and problems in front of them, and to benefit from the competencies of outstanding students, and opening the doors of cooperation and coordination with international universities.

For his part, the Minister appreciated the President of the Republic’s interest in the higher education file and his directives in this regard, and reviewed the ministry’s workflow, future plans and challenges facing the education sector in the country.
