Hundreds of residents of Al-Jihad neighborhood in Al-Kut organized a night demonstration, blocking a number of the main streets in the city, to protest against the lack of response to the service demands that they called for.

One of the organizers of the demonstration said: “Our demands are the same that have not been answered for years, and this angry demonstration comes after the end of the week deadline that we gave to the local government, during which it did not move a finger.”

He added: “We demand our service rights, as our regions witness a severe weakness in services
