Qais Al-Khazali: We do not have good relations with the UAE, America and Britain to give us seats through fraud / Expanded

Baghdad The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais al-Khazali, announced: There is a strong will to rig the elections that must be prevented.

The Sadiqoun Movement website quoted Al-Khazali as saying that voters should express their opinions freely and not give in to pressure.

He added that Al-Sistani’s statement was necessary, accurate and thoughtful because the political process is based on elections and was not in the interest of political parties with closed masses because it is harmful to them.

Al-Khazali said: We had hoped for a constitutional change in preparation for changing the political system in the presence of a political agreement to make a constitutional change that includes directly electing the governor, noting that: The current circumstances will not allow changing the existing political system.

He added that due to political confusion, the referendum on constitutional amendments was postponed to the next stage.

Al-Khazali indicated that the will of fraud exists electronically and on the ground, but the political movement and the Commission’s procedures gave reassuring guarantees, pointing out that field fraud needs governmental measures and the uncontrolled weapon was used to pressure the voter’s will.

He stated that there is no clear and reassuring result to prevent field fraud, and the political forces are discussing this file with the Prime Minister, and that changing the electoral security policy may contribute to reducing fraud.

Al-Khazali stressed that international observers must have a role in the departments where fraud is likely to occur.

Al-Khazali relied: our people not to give in to pressure and to prevent fraud, and that the commission’s pledge to give preliminary results within 72 hours generates reassurance from fears of fraud.

He continued, “the statement of the religious reference is important and will contribute to the continuation of the political process.”

Al-Khazali said: We do not have good relations with the UAE, America and Britain to give us seats through fraud.

He stressed that: Our political position is consistent with our commitment to the line of resistance and our refusal to keep the American occupation forces.
