The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, discussed today, Saturday, with the head of Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, the latest developments in the security and political situation in the country.

The two sides stressed, according to a statement by the chancellery, the importance of creating the appropriate conditions for the success of the elections on the tenth of next October, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

During the meeting, Al-Amiri stressed that the Iraqis have no choice but to succeed in the upcoming elections, as an entitlement and a popular demand, pointing to the importance of giving reason and wisdom to resolve the issues and challenges facing the country.

For his part, Al-Araji stressed the importance of security stability and the creation of reassuring security conditions for candidates and voters alike, to support the democratic process in Iraq, and the completion of early elections as schedule.
