Baghdad Iranian President Hassan Rouhani affirmed that the main outstanding issues with the United States will be resolved and settled in the Vienna negotiations.
Rouhani said during the Iranian government meeting today, Wednesday: Our main issues with the Americans have been resolved and settled in Vienna, and there are a number of minor issues that still remain.
Rouhani added, according to Iranian media: “The Americans saw that they could not defeat Iran, so Biden announced in his election campaigns that if he wins the presidential elections, he will return to the nuclear agreement.”
He continued, saying: If the will is based on the government doing this work, the government has accomplished that. I use the past tense, not the present tense. We’ve done our work and we’re done with it. We have remained loyal to the Iranian people in what we promised them about the embargo. We broke the ban once in 2015 and once in 2021, so we’ve done our job.”
