Baghdad Iranian President Hassan Rouhani welcomed Baghdad’s positive role in mediating disputes between countries in the region, stressing Iran’s support for Iraq as an important country in the Arab League.
Iranian media reported, in reports today, Monday, that “Rouhani, during a phone call with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, confirmed that the terrorist organization ISIS continues to pose a major security threat in the region, and that cooperation between the two countries is necessary to confront this terrorist group.”
During the call, Rouhani stressed “the need to develop and deepen relations between the two countries in various political and economic fields and expand regional cooperation,” noting that “Iran and Iraq, with their economic potentials, can complement one another. ”
