Kirkuk (NINA)- Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako celebrated a mass held in Baghdad on the occasion of the second anniversary of Pope Francis’ visit to Iraq.

Sako thanked Pope Francis for his courageous decision to visit this country, which has suffered a lot, and his call on the Iraqis to strengthen brotherhood, citizenship, and cooperation to build peace and stability and consolidate coexistence.

He thanked France, the government and the Church, for their support for Iraq, and the Church of France’s provision of large amounts of material to the displaced people. / End
