Baghdad MP for the / Saeroon / Alliance Salam Al-Shammari criticized the current government’s handling of internal and external events, describing it as “weak and unfortunate.”

Al-Shammari said in a press statement: “The conditions that the country is going through, including security breaches and political differences, are moving the country towards a future that everyone must remedy before it is too late.”

He added: “Negative regional and international interference in Iraqi affairs has weakened its role and ability to influence the desired, and it is now seen as a resource from which everyone is taken without offering anything positive to it while it is at the height of its crisis.”

He stressed: “Getting out of this situation requires everyone to think seriously about Iraq, its present and future, and for some of them to be aware that their success and survival is linked to implementing what the people want and not what those lurking behind the borders want,” as he put it.
