Salih: Iraq supports the establishment of balanced relations to ease regional and international tensions

Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, affirmed that Iraq supports the establishment of balanced relations to ease regional and international tensions and coordinate to confront the challenges of terrorism, extremism and climate change.

While receiving the credentials of the ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey Alireza Konai, the Philippines Geneso Kallonck, the Federal Republic of Russia Elbrus Kontrachev, Somalia Liban Sheikh Mahmoud, Uzbekistan Bahramjan Aliyov and Ethiopia Hassan Tajo Legas said that Iraq stems from a basic principle based on the need for solidarity and supports of international and regional coordination to ease tensions and crises, and strengthen its relations with the international community on the basis of cooperation and coordination, and to achieve the common interests of peoples and countries.

He added that the challenges of confronting terrorism and extremism, health crises, climate change and environmental protection are common challenges that should be cooperated and coordinated with, pointing out that the country is looking towards construction and reconstruction, by enhancing investment opportunities in various fields, and exchanging scientific and cultural experiences.

Salih expressed his wishes for the new ambassadors to succeed in performing their new tasks, and to contribute to the consolidation of friendship and cooperation relations between Iraq and their countries.
