Baghdad Kurdish MP Salim Hamza confirmed that the percentage of participation in the elections will depend on ending the file of uncontrolled weapons.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the country is living in difficult circumstances and needs tremendous efforts to reconcile its situation, indicating that the people need reassurances that the state should take upon itself to protect the electoral process in its various clauses, especially from irregular weapons, which raises fears that it remains without find solutions to it.
Early elections are scheduled to be held on October 10, in light of fears of uncontrolled weapons.
