Baghdad The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that it held a fourth round of talks with Iran, at the end of last September.

“The fourth round of talks took place on September 21,” Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said in a joint press conference with the European Union’s foreign policy coordinator, Josep Borrell.

Bin Farhan added: “These discussions are still in the exploratory stage, and we hope that they will lay the basis for addressing issues between the two sides.”

The Saudi Foreign Minister did not clarify any details about the talks, such as the place of the meeting, the mediating party, or the level of representation.
