Baghdad Saudi Aramco admitted that data about the company had been leaked through one of its contractors, but said that it had “no effect” on its operations.
“Aramco has recently learned of an indirect leak of a limited volume of its data held by external contractors,” the company said in a statement.
“We confirm that the data leak was not caused by a breach of our systems and has no impact on our operations, and the company will continue to maintain its strong cyber security.”
In 2016, Saudi media reported that cyber attacks targeted many state institutions, as well as other vital facilities.
