Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Mahdi Al-Alaq discussed with Japanese Ambassador to Iraq Fumio Iwai bilateral relations and ways to enhance the prospects of joint cooperation to serve the interests of both countries.
Alaq said in a statement to the Cabinet Secretariat "A community reconciliation conference will take place days later in Bartala and this is the first conference in Iraq that will include all components and provide an open and inclusive dialogue to consolidate the pillars of liberalization," welcoming the participation of the Japanese Ambassador.
From his part, Iwai hailed this conference, which he considered a symbol for the collection of all political spectrum and national and societal components.
He also highlighted the current and future projects to be implemented by the Government of Japan in Iraq in the fields of energy, oil, water and other projects, as well as the soft loans. which Japan intends to provide to support Iraq in the implementation of its projects in the liberated areas, stressing his country's continued support for Iraq in the post- Daesh. "
