Najaf (NINA) -A security source from Najaf announced that there are victims who are still under reduction in the explosion of the headquarters of Saraya al-Salam, north of Najaf, including fighters from the Saraya.

The source explained: “The headquarters was a camp for the American forces during the American occupation, then it became the headquarters of the Iraqi army forces, then it turned into the Popular Mobilization Forces – Saraya al-Salam.”

He pointed out: “The number of casualties might increase due to the collapse of a special headquarters for the fighters, where the explosion of liquid gas cylinders caused an explosion of a stockpile of equipment, which led to the collapse of the headquarters and resulted in deaths and injuries, including 3 members of the Civil Defense and two fighters of Saraya al-Salam, and wounding at least eight others.” .
