Baghdad: Iraq and China signed today, Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding between the Foreign Service Institute of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
The Ministry said in a statement, “The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in the field of diplomatic training, professional development, and communication among diplomatic circles in both countries.”
The statement added, “The memorandum was signed on the Iraqi side by Shorsh Khalid Saeed, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Beijing, and on the Chinese side by Wang Fang, President of the Chinese Diplomatic Academy.”
This memorandum will contribute to enhancing cooperation in several fields, including the exchange of information, research activities, training programs, and specialized courses between the Iraqi Foreign Service Institute and the Chinese Diplomatic Academy. In addition, the memorandum includes language teaching, exchange of expertise, and s
tudies related to foreign affairs in its political, economic, diplomatic, legal, international relations, and other branches.”
