Salah al-Din: The Security Media Cell announced the capture of four terrorists, the killing of two of them, and the wounding of others in eastern Salah al-Din.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the cell stated in a statement: “Through intensive monitoring and the harnessing of technical and intelligence resources, a force of heroes from the 2nd Regiment of the 88th Brigade and detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate within the Eastern Salah al-Din Operations Command Sector, and after setting up a well-planned ambush specifically in Balkana area in Tuz sector, were able to capture a detachment consisting of four ISIS terrorists.”
The statement further detailed that losses were inflicted on this terrorist group, resulting in the death of two members, including a suicide bomber who was wearing an explosive belt. The remaining members were wounded. The statement highlighted that the security forces are continuing their search operations under the supervision of the Operations Commander and field commanders, with additional support from drones provided by the Military Intelligence Directorate.
The Security Media Cell emphasized that the security forces are maintaining their operations across all areas of responsibility, focusing on eliminating and containing the remnants of defeated ISIS groups. The statement underscored the ongoing efforts during the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, asserting that the forces are well-prepared and strategically equipped to counter any attempts by ISIS to re-establish their presence.
