Baghdad The Russian Defense Ministry announced the return of some Russian forces stationed with Ukraine to their bases.
The spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in a statement (according to Russia Today) that the Russian forces will return to the permanent stationing points after the end of the exercises.
He added that the units of the Southern Military District and the Western Military District have begun loading operations on the vehicles and will be launched on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a statement by the Russian Defense Ministry stated that: As soon as the combat training activities are completed, the forces will, as always, march in a joint way to the permanent concentration points.
He noted that “the units of the southern and western military regions that have completed the tasks have already begun to load on railways and land transport and will begin moving to their military garrisons today, while convoys of separate units will march to their bases by their own means.
The statement indicated that the Russian armed forces are continuing a set of large-scale operational exercises, in which almost all military districts, fleets and airborne forces participate.
