Baghdad Spokesman for the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed that the “Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership” carries important messages, including the government’s success in attracting investors and providing job opportunities for Iraqis.
Rasoul said, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), “There is good security stability in Iraq, and the countries of the region are aware of Iraq’s need for a serious pause for security, intelligence, political and economic work,” noting that “all Iraqis, government agencies and armed forces of all kinds are working to Iraq returns to its leading role in the region.”
He added, “the Baghdad conference is working to establish peace outcomes in the region, and it is a message to the world that the situation in Iraq is secure and stable, and that we are moving towards political and economic stability, as well as attracting investors to work in Iraq.”
He explained that “Iraq succeeded in holding this conference at this time, in the presence of neighboring countries and the regional environment, in addition to foreign countries such as France,” noting that “the summit will discuss all common political, security and economic issues, because Iraq is looking for its leading role in the region and the Middle East.”
