BAGHDAD, IRAQ A member of the House of Representatives of the state of law coalition, Hisham al-Suhail ruled out approving the budget of the State for the current year during the remainder of the time to the House of Representatives.

Suhail in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / attributed reasons for non-agreement because of political objectives / not disclosed / and the absence of deputies and the disruption of parliamentary sessions on an ongoing basis.

He said that “the reasons also the insisting of the Kurds on the 17% of the budget as it was in previous years and this is completely rejected as deputies of the National Alliance in particular and we will vote only on the budget according to population ratios.”

Regarding the meeting of the three presidencies on the budget and other laws, Al-Suhail said that “this meeting will not provide or delay anything in the absence of commitment to the directives of the heads of political blocs and became invaluable, especially after the formation of the reform front two years ago until the Sadrist movement known to abide by the directives.

The MP of the House of Representatives Imad Jokna said that the date of the meeting of the three presidencies to discuss and resolve the differences of the budget will be determined after the end of the Finance Committee parliamentary amendments of the budget.
