BAGHDAD, An Israeli aircraft was shot down over the occupied Golan Heights, Syrian television reported.
“Air defense responded to an Israeli attack on a military base in central Syria and hitting more than one aircraft,” the television said in breaking news.
For his part, the Israeli army said, “A warplane landed in northern Israel after the bombing of targets inside the Syrian territory, referring to the rescue of pilots of an F-16.”
