Taiwanese authorities monitor two Russian military ships off its eastern coast

The Taiwanese Authorities announced today, that they had monitored two Russian warships off its eastern coast, noting that they had sent planes and ships to monitor.

The Taiwanese Ministry of Defense said, in a statement, that two Russian frigates sailed, yesterday, in a northerly direction off the eastern coast of Taiwan and then “left the Redna area” in a southeast direction off the coastal city of Suao, which includes a major Taiwanese naval base, adding that the army sent planes and ships to monitor them, with the activation of missile systems on the coast, without going into further details.

In a related context, Russian sources reported that a battalion of ships belonging to the Russian Pacific Fleet entered the southern parts of the Philippine Sea to perform tasks within the framework of a long-range sea corridor.
