Baghdad The head of the Kurdish delegation, Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, announced the end of negotiations with the federal government to implement the budget items by talking about an imminent agreement.
Talabani said, in a tweet to him on / Twitter /: “We are on the verge of completing the necessary mechanisms to implement the 2021 budget law.”
He added: “There is goodwill on both sides in implementing the budget law and it will have a positive impact on relations between Baghdad and the Kurdistan region after the stalemate that occurred last year, with the economic recovery.”
The House of Representatives approved at the beginning of last February, the country’s financial budget for the current year, with a total expenditure of 129 trillion dinars, and a deficit of 28 trillion.
The budget also provided for the delivery of the Kurdistan region to the amount of 250 thousand barrels of oil per day, in addition to half of the other financial revenues to Baghdad in return for obtaining an estimated share of 12.6 percent of the budget.
