Baghdad The Security Media Cell announced the arrest of a prominent leader in ISIS who carried out several attacks against our security forces and citizens, killing many citizens in Diyala Governorate.
The security media said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) received a copy of it: “With field efforts and careful intelligence work, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency arrested a terrorist from the leaders of the terrorist gangs of ISIS, who participated in many attacks against our security forces and citizens, including in 2007, terrorist gangs launched an attack on one of the vital areas linking Baghdad – Kirkuk and Baghdad – Diyala, and another attack on the Khuwailis area, which links between Hibhib, Al Hadid, Arab Shoka, and Al Aswad district. The accused also participated in an attack in Diyala province, which lasted for a whole day, in which many unarmed citizens of the village of Al-Khuwailis were killed. He was arrested, and his statements were initially and judicially entered into a confession, and the necessary legal measures were taken against him.
