Baghdad Internal Affairs detachments arrested a suspect impersonating an officer and extorting citizens in Baghdad.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated that the monitoring and investigation detachments managed, through continuous follow-up, to arrest a suspect for extorting citizens in exchange for sums of money for the purpose of releasing detainees and impersonating an officer in the anti-terrorism agency, as a tight ambush was set up for him in one of the areas of the capital Baghdad and he was arrested with the crime while he was receiving the money.
