Baghdad, The Azm Alliance called on today, Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon the Swedish Ambassador and hand him a protest note due to the heinous insult to the Holy Quran.
The Alliance stated in a press statement that “the Azm Alliance condemns the heinous abuse of the Holy Quran by burning it in full view of the Swedish authorities, which is a flagrant violation of the sanctities of nearly two billion people in the world, and a provocation that may threaten stability, fuel strife and hatred, and give extremism an opportunity to return from new.
He added, “While the Alliance confirms its rejection of these abusive acts, it calls on the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon the Swedish Ambassador, hand him a protest note, and inform the Swedish government of the danger of allowing such reprehensible acts and the need to hold the perpetrator accountable and prevent the recurrence of this act.”
