Baghdad The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Judge Jalil Adnan Khalaf, discussed with the UN Deputy Special Representative for Iraq for Political Affairs and Electoral Assistance Ingibjorg Solrun Gisladottir, the latest preparations for holding the elections as scheduled.
The Commission stated in a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency a copy of it that the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners discussed during the meeting, which was attended by a member of the Board of Commissioners Ahlam Al-Jabri, with Ingibjorg, the latest preparations for the elections on the scheduled date of October 10, and what the commission cadres are making of Preparations for the distribution of the biometric voter card. ”
Judge Jalil Adnan Khalaf emphasized the necessity of this continuous communication with the United Nations mission and informing it of the procedures of the Board of Commissioners step by step.
For her part, the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Special Representative in Iraq, Ingibjorg, praised what the commission is doing now, considering that the great work in a difficult period that requires from all concerned a lot of support.
