Baghdad The Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced the registration of 1220 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
In a statement on the epidemiological situation on Thursday, the Ministry said that it had conducted 8,023 laboratory tests during the past 24 hours, noting that 1,220 new cases of the virus were recorded, including 419 in Erbil, 488 in Sulaymaniyah, 233 in Dohuk, 10 in Halabja, and 58 in Garmian, and 12 in Rabrin.
The statement indicated that 701 of the infected have recovered, including 120 in Erbil, 227 in Sulaymaniyah, 320 in Dohuk, 3 in Halabja, 29 in Garmian, and 2 in Rabreen, pointing to the death of 22 injured, including 4 in Erbil, 8 in Sulaymaniyah and 10 in Dohuk.
According to the statement, “Since the outbreak of the virus, the Ministry has conducted 2325707 laboratory tests, and 209220 infections were recorded in all governorates of the region, of which 189481 were cured, while 4,648 infected people died, and 15,091 citizens are still receiving treatment in hospitals.”
