Baghdad The Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail, revealed Egyptian projects to establish factories in Iraq that will provide a thousand new job opportunities.
Ismail said, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), that “Egypt has a package of important investment projects in the Iraqi governorates,” referring to work to simplify the procedures for granting the Iraqi visa to Egyptians and to facilitate the entry of joint tourist groups.
He added that “the problem in Iraq is that it is an economically strong country, but it needs to diversify sources of income and develop the economy because relying on oil alone is not enough,” noting that “Egypt has economic capabilities that it seeks to crystallize and transfer to establish factories in Iraq that will provide a thousand job opportunities for each factory.”
He explained that “Iraq wants to be a country that attracts investment, and it is a matter in the hands of the Iraqis themselves.”
