The Electoral Commission determines the special voting mechanism for prisoners who will be included in the ballot

Baghdad The Electoral Commission disclosed the special voting mechanism for prisoners who are included in the ballot during the elections scheduled for the tenth of next October.

The Commission said, in a press statement, that “the special vote for members of the security forces will be within their military units, as well as in prisons and hospitals. As for patients, there is no vote.”

It added, “Prisoners have the right to vote, for those who are sentenced to less than five years in prison, and they will have a polling station, but if the sentence exceeds five years or more, he will be considered incompetent.”
