The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, arrived today, Monday, in Cairo to participate in the meetings of the Liaison Committee formed by the Arab League.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a statement that, “Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein arrived today, Monday, in the Arab Republic of Egypt to participate in the meetings of the liaison committee formed by the Arab League, which will be prepared tomorrow, Tuesday, with the participation of Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, and Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib, to assess the Syrian situation since the first Amman meeting and study international interactions in this regard.
He added, “The members of the Communication Committee will meet with the Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal Meqdad, to discuss and follow up the decisions taken in previous meetings and study developments on the Syrian scene.”
