Baghdad Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Miqdad, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, bilateral relations and the situation in the region and the world.

The spokesman for the ministry, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, said: “In the meeting, bilateral relations were discussed, and new horizons were opened for joint action, in addition to reviewing the overall developments in the Arab, regional and international regions.”
