The Group of 20 countries calls on the countries of the world to avoid imposing new restrictions to confront Corona virus

Baghdad / NINA / – The Presidency of the Group of Twenty Countries called, today, Saturday, the countries of the world to avoid imposing new restrictions to confront the emerging Corona virus pandemic.

Italian Economy Minister Daniele Franco said that the mutated strains of the Corona virus are a source of grave concern to the global economy, but the world should avoid imposing new restrictions on people’s lives to confront the epidemic.

“We all agree that we should avoid imposing new restrictions on the movement of citizens and the way of life of people,” the Minister added during a press conference at the end of a meeting of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of the Group of Twenty countries in Venice.

During today’s talks, the G20 Finance Ministers endorsed an important step to prevent multinational companies from shifting their profits into low tax havens.”

Italy currently holds the rotating presidency of the Group of Twenty, which will continue until the end of this year.”

G20 members account for more than 80 percent of global GDP, 75 percent of global trade and 60 percent of the planet’s population, including the United States, Japan, Britain, France, Germany and India./ End
