Baghdad The Independent High Electoral Commission confirmed its complete readiness to hold the elections on their scheduled date on 10/10/2021, noting that it has completed all the technical and logistical requirements to hold them on time.
Commission spokeswoman Jumana Al-Ghalai said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The Higher Security Committee for Elections is working in high coordination in Baghdad and the provinces, and it is responsible for protecting the registration and polling centers and staff, meaning that it protects the electoral process completely.”
She explained, “The Independent High Electoral Commission is the one that determines whether or not the elections will be held, and it will not be determined by people from outside the commission who do not know the technical work inside it.”
Al- Ghalai confirmed: “All logistical matters and sensitive materials are ready and complete, and we will work on simulating the electoral process after completing the procedures for certifying the candidates and conducting the lottery for them, therefore the commission is fully prepared to hold the elections on schedule.”
