Baghdad The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the appointment of Brigadier General Muhammad Reza Falahzadeh as deputy commander of the Quds Force forces, to succeed Brigadier Muhammad Hegazy, who died yesterday.
In a statement, It said: Brigadier General Falahzadeh was appointed as deputy commander of the Quds Force, based on a proposal from the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolutionary Guard Forces, Major General Hossein Salami, and with the approval of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ali Khamenei.
On Sunday evening, the Revolutionary Guards announced the death of Brigadier General Muhammad Hegazy, due to a sudden heart attack.
Brigadier General Muhammad Reza Falahzadeh held many positions in the Revolutionary Guard, including the leadership of the 33rd Mahdi Division, the leadership of the 19th Fajr Division, the leadership of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the governorates of Yazd, Isfahan and Fars, as well as the leadership of the Karbala building headquarters (an economic institution).
