Baghdad The Iraqi Observatory for Journalistic Freedoms of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate mourned the two colleagues, the leading broadcaster Abbas Hamid, and the chief correspondent of Al-Itijah TV, Ali Mutair, who won the Journalistic Courage Award.

The Observatory stated in a statement that Hamid and Mutair were infected with the dreaded Corona virus, which led to complications that caused their tragic death.

Abbas Hamid was one of the most efficient news anchors on Iraqi television, and since the eighties of the last century, many young broadcasters and creative program presenters have graduated from him.
