The Kremlin: Putin briefed Macron on the progress of the Russian special operation and the evacuation of civilians from “Azovstal”

– The Kremlin said today, Tuesday, that Russian President Vladimir Putin briefed his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the progress of the special operation to protect Donbass and evacuate civilians from Azovstal.

The Kremlin said, “Putin indicated, in a phone call with Macron, that the member states of the European Union ignore the war crimes committed by the Ukrainian forces.”

He continued, “Putin assured Macron that the problems related to world food security are primarily caused by Western sanctions.”

The Russian President also stressed that “despite the Kyiv regime’s unwillingness for a peaceful solution, the Russian side is still open to dialogue.”

French media reported that the phone call between French President Emmanuel Macron and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin lasted more than two hours.

The French BFMTV network stated that the phone call that took place today between Macron and Putin lasted for two hours and ten minutes.

It noted that this phone call is the first between the two Presidents since the end of last March.

This call comes after Macron’s phone call last Saturday with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, more than two months after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
