The Minister of Culture Discusses With His French Counterpart Ways To Enhance Cultural Cooperation

Baghdad The Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nadhim, discussed in Paris with Roselyne Bachelot, the French Minister of Culture, ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of heritage.

The French minister, according to a statement by the Ministry of Culture, expressed her pleasure at the strength of cultural ties between the two countries, and praised the Iraqi government’s efforts to rehabilitate archaeological sites damaged by terrorist attacks.

She stressed France’s continuation of Iraq’s support, not only morally, but France could be a partner in implementing projects in the field of cultural heritage and capacity development with training programs in various disciplines, and the continuation of major French cultural institutions to contribute to the revival of heritage landmarks.
