The Minister of Foreign Affairs receives a copy of the credentials of the non-resident Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Baghdad

Baghdad Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, received today, Tuesday, a copy of the credentials of the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Baghdad, Bahramjan Aliyov.

According to a statement by the Foreign Ministry, the two sides discussed ways to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of enhancing opportunities for cooperation at various levels to meet the aspirations of the two peoples.

The Minister stressed the importance of opening wider horizons for constructive cooperation, stressing that Iraq’s strategy in its relations stems from taking into account common interests with countries of the world in a manner that serves progress and prosperity for our people and friendly peoples.

He expressed the Ministry’s aspiration for Uzbekistan to open a permanent Embassy in Baghdad; Because of its positive impact on the development of bilateral relations.

For his part, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan affirmed his country’s interest in ways to develop the course of bilateral relations, noting that he will make all his efforts to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.
