The Minister of Immigration discusses with the International Center for the Development of Migration Policies the file of returnees from abroad

Baghdad The Ministry of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, discussed today, Monday, with the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), the file of returnees from abroad.

The Ministry stated in a statement that the Minister of Migration and Displacement met, at the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad, with representatives of the International Center for Migration Policy Development “ICMPD”, during which they discussed revitalizing the relationship between the center and the ministry in order to provide the best services to the ministry’s care groups and support returnees from abroad.

Jabro praised this step in order to develop joint and new strategic plans between the two sides for the purpose of implementing programs and projects that serve returnees from abroad.

During the meeting, the programs and projects that will be presented by the center were presented, including the preparation and formulation of the policy of involving Iraqis abroad in national development, and support for building the Iraqi government’s capacity in the field of migration management.

The minister stressed, “the ministry is looking forward to a greater effort by the International Center for Migration Policies Development, to support its efforts in the file of the return of migrants and provide them with the best services.”
