Baghdad Minister of Industry and Minerals Manal Aziz Al-Khabbaz, as part of the program of his current visit to Syria, met with the Syrian Minister of Transport Zuhair Khuzaym, in the presence of the Syrian Minister of Industry and the accompanying Iraqi delegation.
The two sides reviewed a number of common topics related to the field of industry, transportation of materials and equipment, and ways of coordination and enhancing joint cooperation.
The Minister pointed out: “The Ministry of Transport is a vital artery to support all sectors of the state, including industry, by securing the requirements of transportation and movement,” stressing: “This visit confirms the desire of both countries for joint work and resolving the problems between the two countries,” calling for finding out mechanisms to protect securing the two countries and finding an understanding formula for common issues.
For his part, the Syrian Minister of Transport affirmed the desire to develop cooperation in the field of transport to serve the industrial sector and serve the interests of the two countries, wishing that there would be business and strategic issues that bring the two countries together in light of the historical and fraternal relations and rapprochement between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, expressing his hope that there will be quick steps to discuss the outstanding issues and overcoming them to serve the two countries.
