The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, held an expanded meeting at the headquarters of Diyala Operations Command, which he arrived on Monday morning, at the head of a high-level security delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, to all the security units and agencies, and to the local government of Diyala, urging them to continue to enforce the law and secure all areas of the province.
The minister also stressed the intensification of intelligence work, the arrest of wanted persons, the follow-up of smuggling and organized crime networks, and bringing them to justice.
The minister called on the Diyala governor to expedite the installation of an advanced camera system inside the city centers, stressing at the same time the return of the people of the displaced villages, indicating that there is a project underway according to the Prime Minister’s directive with the Sunni Endowment Office and the Popular Mobilization Commission to return the displaced villages and provide them with a safe and appropriate atmosphere
