The Ministry of Planning discusses the overall (final) framework for the National Development Plan (2023-2027)

Baghdad / NINA /- The Ministry of Planning discussed today Thursday the overall (final) framework for the next national development plan
within a meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the preparation of the National Development Plan (2023-2027), with the participation of the general directors of the Ministry, a group of experts, specialists and representatives of the concerned departments.

The ministry stated in a statement that the preparatory committee for the preparation of the National Development Plan (2023-2027) held a meeting chaired by the Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Maher Hammad Johan, which witnessed the presentation of the plan’s priorities within the human capital pillar in its final form, and the discussion of the proposed timelines for the plan.”

The statement added, “The meeting dealt with presenting the proposed time frame for preparing the national development plan (2023-2027), and included the stages of its preparation consisting of the first (preparatory) stage, which includes: the formation of higher, technical and sectoral committees specialized in preparing the plan and holding meetings and workshops to clarify work procedures, in addition to formulating the general framework and its future development vision, indicating that the second phase, which is (diagnosis): It included: conducting a comprehensive presentation of the current situation of the axes and sectors of the plan, and presenting the preliminary sectoral papers according to the axes and sectors, while the third phase included planning in terms of formulating the strategic objectives and sub-objectives of the plan sectors and means to achieve them, as for the last stage, it is approving the final version of the National Development Plan (2023-2027)./ End
