Hilla The office of the Independent High Electoral Commission in Babylon signed today, Monday, a memorandum of understanding with the UNAMI, to support, cover and monitor the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The media director of the office, Amir Ali, said, “The office today signed the MoU, which constitutes a contribution to the training of polling staff on the election mechanism and to provide logistical support to the commission, as well as some material support with regard to the commission’s offices in the governorate.”
He added that the United Nations will train a number of non-governmental organizations to monitor the elections, submit their own reports, and publish them in the four constituencies in the governorate.
