Oil Minister Jabbar Ali al-Luaibi stressed Iraq's keenness to provide the ideal environment to attract international investments in the oil and energy sector.

Al-Luaibi said during his meeting with the Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the British Ministry of International Development, Alistair Burt that Iraq is working on ideal cooperation with international companies operating in the oil sector in order to promote this industry and the optimal investment of this national wealth, as well as increased infrastructure development projects across the country. Over the past period, despite economic and security challenges, we have made significant progress in implementing projects and increasing oil and gas production. "

He added, "The ministry announced many of the oil projects in the sectors of extraction and liquidation, gas investment and the extension of pipelines, and invited international companies, including British companies to participate in them."

For his part, Alastair Burt, stressed the keenness of his country and British companies to enhance the prospects for cooperation and expand the size of the participation of British companies in the oil sector and Iraqi energy.
